Lawah mentimun

Lawa or lawah  is a typical appetizer made from some basic ingredients of refreshing vegetables such as cucumber or seaweed. The main ingredients are mixed and spiced with roasted coconut and giant prawns (udang galah) which commonly found in North Kalimantan. People also usually replace shrimp with other marine products such as shellfish. In other areas the cucumber can be changed with banana blossom and the prawn into local fish.
