Kerak Telur

Kerak telur is the original food of Jakarta (Betawi) , with the ingredients of white sticky rice, chicken eggs, dried shrimp with fried onions, then spiced into coconut roasted coconut, red chilli, kencur , Ginger, pepper granules, salt and granulated sugar.

Kerak telur is present when Betawi-themed events. There is a unique way of making Kerak telur, usually done by a roving seller with two bearers, reversing the sunken skillet when the Kerak telur is half cooked.
