Burayot is a typical Sundanese snack food made of fried batter. The batter consists of rice flour, red sugar, oil,  a hint of vanilla and some people also added nuts. The food name was taken from the word “ngaburayot” or in Indonesian means shriveled because of its wrinkled dough looks. It typically have a light brown color or even darker and a little shiny. Its texture is crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. It is sold in various markets in Garut area as a souvenir.
