Opak or rice craker is a Sundanese traditional culinary. In Garut, it is called Opak Bungbulang. The opak is made of glutinous rice. Firstly, the rice is washed, half cooked, and then pounded inside a pestle. While being pounded, salt and cooked coconut essence are given into the rice. After being batter, the rice is rolled, cut, pressed, and sun dried. The dry flat opak is called babanggi. The babanggi is then skewered and grilled like satay.
