Rambu Tuka Ceremony

Rambu Tuka ceremony is a series of rituals which are done in order to fix the Tongkonan, usually starts in the morning when the sun rises. The rituals consist of Ma’Pallin, Mangika Biang, Mangipang (mangrapa), Ma’pande to matua, Mangrara banua, and Ma’buang. The meaning of the ceremony is as an expression of gratitude to the creator upon his protection during the construction or repair of tongkonan, an appreciation to the experts who build tongkonan, and the time to gather the whole family members of whose the tongkonan.
