Kampung Naga

Kampung Naga (Dragon Village) is a village is a village inhabited by a group of people who strongly held their ancestral heritage of the Sunda customs. Like the Bedouin (Badui) settlement, Kampung Naga became the object of anthropological studies on the life of rural Sundanese people during the transition from Hindu influence to the influence of Islam in West Java. This unique village is located in Desa Neglasari, Kecamatan Salawu, Kabupaten Tasikmalaya, West Java province.

The villagers does not wish for the village to be a tourist attraction. Therefore if you plan to visit, you have to go with a local guide and inform the guide a few days before visiting if you plan to stay the night as you will need permission from the village chief. You should prepare a power bank and flashlight since the village does not have electricity. Have fun exploring the village filled with untainted culture and nature tranquility.
