Candi Muara Takus

The past cultural heritage is located about 130 km from Pekanbaru to the point where the Kampar Kanan River and the Kampar Kiri River meeting. This location is a remnant of past Buddhist temples. The temple was discovered in 1893 by a Dutch anthropologist, this temple is believed to have been built in the 7th century BC. However, some experts believe the temple was built in the 4th century BC.
