Mapasilaga Tedong literally means the act of pitting buffaloes. This tradition is held in Toraja, Central Celebes. Traditional music from a group of women pounding rice in mortars. The tradition is opened by serving grilled pork, cigarettes, and nira water to the buffalo tamer and the guests. Then it is closed by slaughtering the buffaloes called Ma’tinggoro Tedong.
