Geplak is a traditional cake from Jakarta. Nowadays, the cake is scarcely found. The cake is made of rice which is ground into wheat, then it is roasted. The cake is topped with grated coconut. The cake is usually served in traditional Betawi wedding ceremony as gifts.

Pindang is a process of cooking fish by boiling and salting. The fish is then smoked to be last longer. The most fish used are tuna and mackerel. In Indonesia, pindang fish can be processed to another kind of culinary, such as petis.

Soto which has a variety of names in Indonesia such as coto, souto, or sroto is one of the traditional cuisines in Indonesia. It is a kind of soup made of broth and vegetables. The mostly used meat as the ingredient is chicken or beef, but some also use goat meat or pork. 

Jengkol

Jengkol

Jengkol, known as dogfruit, is a popular native seed in Southeast Asia. Amino acid containing sulfur contained in the seeds makes Jengkol has a particular smell. In Indonesia, this seed can proceed to various food such as semur jengkol, an ingredient in fried rice or hot paste, and even chips.
