Kue timpan is traditional cake from Aceh. The cake has soft texture, made of glutinous flour, banana, and coconut milk as the outer, and filled by egg, cooked jackfruit, and coconut. The cake is wrapped by leaves from banana plant. It is often served in Idul Fitri and wedding day.

Roti Jala or Roti Kirai is one of the traditional cakes from Riau which is often sold in Ramadhan month. The cake originally comes from India or Middle East which is then adopted by Indonesia. The ingredients required to make the cake are the mixture of flour and egg and cooked by scrambling it. The cake is then served with curry or Malayan traditional gravy.

Mie Aceh is served in two ways; fried and sauce. It is usually topped by fried onion and gnetum gnemon chips, slices of cucumber, and lime.
